Our aim is to turn your stay at Caleufú Travel Lodge into a lifetime memory. Therefore, we work hard everyday to do our best.

We offer wading outings in the most famous local rivers, such as the Malleo, in the legendary native reserve called Paiñifilú, surrounded by mountains with rocky peaks and the crystal-clear waters of this waterway. This marvelous winding river has an average flow ideal for lovers of fly-fishing and especially to practice the catch-and-release policy.

In November, this river is ideal for the use of medium-sized streamers, such as the classic Woolly Buggers in black with some orange or yellow touch, brown Wooly Buggers, Matukas, and Sculpins in natural hues like black, brown or green.

In January, February and March, anglers prefer dry flies such as May Fly, Stone Fly and Caddis Hatch and the longed-for Inch Worm, the latter have been the main course in the last few years.

In March, April and May, the waters cool down and the trout get ready to hatch. At this moment, large brown trout which come along looking for the perfect spot to spawn may be caught.

This also happens at the Chimehuín, Colloncurá, Caleufú, Quilquihue, Quemquen treo and Quillen Rivers. Due to its great location, Caleufú Travel Lodge will enable you to fish in all these environments just minutes away from the Lodge.

As you may see, our operation range is very wide and our programs are quite flexible.
You may land at Chapelco airport, lying just 15 minutes away from the Lodge or at Bariloche’s airport, located 2½ hours away from the Lodge. In any case, we will be expecting you. If you resolve to travel here by land, you may reach the Junín de los Andes bus station or come by car along Route 234.
